Walt Disney World - Summer 2010

We kicked off our Summer with a trip to Kissimmee, FL.  I booked our trip the first week of June, with the hopes that the hot and humid Florida Summer wouldn't be in full swing, but my hopes were not realized.  The day we went to Disney it was 100 while waiting in line to ride Splash Mountain.  I definitely suggest traveling to Walt Disney World during cooler months, like October, November, and December.  We still had a great time, and watching the Electrical Parade, and fireworks were definitely magical.  Our favorite rides were Splash Mountain, Thunder Railroad, and The Haunted Mansion.  We found the Hall of Presidents, a nice relaxing break from the afternoon heat, and one of my favorite shows was the 3-D Movie.

While we were in Kissimmee we found the World's Largest McDonald's Play Place, which we had seen featured on the Travel Channel.  The kids really enjoyed it.  They had the typical indoor slides, but they also had a large arcade, which the kids enjoyed.  For us adults, we enjoyed the adult cuisine offered.  They had typical McDonald Fare, but they also had made to order pasta, sandwiches, and homemade ice cream.  If you want to spend an afternoon out of the heat, I definitely suggest a visit.
